Long Branch Stream Valley Park - 4.56 miles Out and Back (50.46/70) - 72%
Too dark for much photography at 6:45am with sprinkles of rain, conducive to heads-down hiking and good mileage. A straight shot with a newly improved trail, about half of it is now paved with only a couple of wet spots on the non-paved portion. Not much to see (besides the dark) but a classic Fairfax County stream valley, slowly growing into itself. I turned around at my usual spot, but the trail does continue and it could have been a nice 7 miler - but that is a lot for me. Either way, I am now looking at the downslope of the challenge - can I finish it off in a week?
